Casa Lola is proud to be a Prince’s Trust supported business!

2017 has been quite the year for Casa Lola, and we’ve just ended November on a serious high note! Having launched in February 2017, Casa Lola has been collecting awards and collaborations across the board.

Founded by me, Hana Price, the Casa Lola mission statement says all you need to know about the brand:

Casa Lola is a Lifestyle Brand all about having fun. We believe life’s too short to sweat the small stuff - it’s time to surround yourself with things that make you smile.

In March 2017, I stumbled across the Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme, and I took the plunge and joined. With my 30th birthday looming, I knew I had to go for it before I was outside of the age limits. A week later, I had gained a new qualification, met a group of fantastic entrepreneurs and learnt from knowledgeable mentors.

Here I am with the awesome bunch of entrepreneurs I had the pleasure of working with on the course:

Just some of the amazing business ventures run by my group are detailed below:

Peter Bevan has launched the brilliantly fashion forward brand Androgeny UK,  a gender-neutral brand pushing the boundaries of unisex fashion. You can find him here: https://androgynyuk.com/

Emily Senn has launched Untold Treasures, selling beautiful globally sourced artisan accessories. You can find her here: https://www.untoldtreasures.co.uk/

Freddie Mack is busy working across the country with his venture One Six Events, and can provide excellent marquee solutions for all kinds of events. You can check out all the options and contact Freddie here: http://www.onesixevents.co.uk/

Lauren Hughes offers a great Virtual Assistant Agency, where you can secure help for your business online, saving time and money. You can find Lauren’s services here: http://www.notebookandcoffee.co.uk

For those who wanted to push their brand forward, The Prince’s Trust then offers the chance to work towards becoming a Prince’s Trust supported business. This means that if your business fulfils key criteria and you can prove that your business is totally and utterly awesome, The Prince’s Trust will be proud to put their name to your brand in a public show of support, as well as offering a further two years of support, mentoring, additional skill workshops, and invitations to all the best networking events.

After 8 months of preparation, a crazy in-depth business plan (being creative you can imagine how much I didn’t like doing that!) and a Dragon’s Den style pitch in the boardroom, I am proud to say that on the 30th November 2017, Casa Lola became a Prince’s Trust Supported Business!

The Prince’s Trust is an amazing organisation, working tirelessly to promote success and well-being across the nation, as well as offering ongoing support to entrepreneurs like myself. Filled to the brim with amazingly inspirational mentors and staff, working with The Prince’s Trust has been one of the best experiences of my life.

If you’re aged 11-30, The Prince’s Trust could help you too! You can check out their latest #YouthCanDoIt campaign here: https://www.princes-trust.org.uk/about-the-trust

As well as working with The Prince’s Trust, Casa Lola has also won two very special awards with Theo Paphitis of Dragon’s Den, and Jacqueline Gold CBE, the CEO of Ann Summers. If you’d like to hear more about the achievements of Casa Lola, check back for out next blog posts where we will detail our two awards in more detail. Oh, and I suppose I better mention we were also scouted to be a Virgin Media Pioneer!

See – it’s been a pretty exciting year huh? I can’t wait to see what happens next!
